Walk to Museum, cafe & Daring in 4 minutes. Community Park & New World near. Tavern on the estuary & Saturday morning market are a short drive. Minimum 2 night stay - prefer 3-4 night stays. Your own three cabins are nestled near 800 year old trees and joined with lights, decks and pathways for you to wander and discover your bath. The bedroom opens out to a covered deck, and the full kitchen has a covered area with a large outdoor dining table and gas BBQ. Up the steps to the bathroom with a fresh, waterless, European electric toilet. Close to nature, beaches, markets, walks, cafes and fun.

Moonrise was inspired by the movies of Wes Anderson. You will find it down a private country road in a garden filled with many birds who visit from the bush and nearby wetlands. At night the sky is full of stars. We have carefully crafted the cabins to provide a quirky off grid life and a tranquil experience where you can recharge in nature, read or play boardgames. The beach, along with shops and cafes are a 7 minute drive away and bush walks are just up the road.

We are only 75mins drive north of Auckland, 10 mins off the number one highway. The cottage is built from beautiful untreated hardwoods set in a tranquil private spot, nestled on the edge of a regenerating native forest. The cottage is only a 2min walk down to the beautiful Kaipara Harbour. Our place is part of a 25 year old 300 acre organic permaculture farm, which we were instrumental in setting up as a working farm and village style subdivision.
