Coromandel Sanctuary

Situated on the crest of the Coromandel ranges on the 309 road. Mahakirau Forest Estate comprises almost 600 ha of native forest. Each site is convenated by QEII National Trust who describe Mahakirau "outstanding for it's ecology and wildlife value with brown kiwi, kaka, Hochsetetter's and Archey's frogs all present". A spacious house in a bush setting, sit back and relax, take a bush walk down to the stream on the property and star gaze at night.

Cooks Beach Studio Escape

A little update for our lovely guests. This studio, as shown in the main photos, is available for stays until 30 April. In May we’ll be closing briefly while we create a beautiful new, larger 30sqm studio in its place. From 1 June, guests will enjoy the brand new space, thoughtfully designed and finished to the same high standard and relaxed coastal style you know and love. Bird's Nest - Straw-bale Studio at Hot Water Beach

The perfect place on the Coromandel Peninsula for a couple to escape to. This unique straw-bale studio is a magical place to stay. Overlooking farmland and Hot Water Beach, you can enjoy the view from the comfort of your bed. You'll be close enough to the beach to hear the waves crashing and even hear kiwi in the nearby bush. Please note that our studio is approximately 1.5 kms from the beach.
