This charming cottage resides approximately 11 miles west of Portree 1 mile before the village of Edinbane. Minchview as the cottage is named ,sits overlooking the Loch and on a good day the island of Harris can be seen along with stunning views towards the bay at Edinbane. This cottage has been a family home for over 140 years and has just had some recent refurbishment whilst trying to retain the authentic character of a typical Skye cottage of this generation. All guests are welcomed warmly.

The perfect retreat for walking, relaxing or family getaway, with lounge (cosy wood-burner), dining kitchen, two en-suite bedrooms and large hallway with library/seating area. Clarkie's corner Hillview is a new conversion furnished to a very high standard in the township of Edinbane near Portree. Clarkie's corner Hillview also has the benefit of super fast wifi. It's made up of a cosy bedroom with shower room and small kitchen. We are very central for sight seeing, short drive away from Old Man of Storr, Kilt Rock, Quiraing, Fairy Glen,Fairy Pools etc. In addition Edinbane where we are located has some amazing food, friendly neighborhood and traditional music.

Gate Lodge on Conservation Farm Isle of Skye

Opened in January 2020, the Gate Lodge is a charming octagon with plenty of original character. Warm and well-equipped, it has been completely renovated and sits within the grounds of a working conservation farm. Strictly No Smoking. Only a ten minute walk from Loch Bay Restaurant, the Stein Inn, Skyeskyns and Diver's Eye, the lodge is surrounded by nature and wildlife with stunning views. It offers the perfect, peaceful break.
