Our home,a working sheep farm is nestled below Ireland's highest mountains on the famous Kerry Way trail in the heart of the McGillyCuddy Reeks.The original buildings date back to 1802 and were some of the last in Ireland to receive electricity due to their remote location in one of Ireland’s most unspoiled valleys on the edge of the Killarney National Park.While the towns of Kenmare & Killarney are an hour’s drive away,the Cottage is suited to those who are keen to truly get away from it all...

Gap of Dunloe Shepherd's Cottage

Enjoy a memorable visit when you stay in this unique place. Nestled in the heart of Gap of Dunloe Glacial Valley, Beaufort, Killarney on the Ring of Kerry, spend some quiet time in our lovingly restored 1800s cottage. The accommodation comprises of one King bed downstairs, a mezzanine with 2 single beds and second mezzanine with one single bed, both accessed by ladder. Cottage is Off Grid, lights and fridge are solar powered,. Cooker, hot water, heating and shower are powered by gas.

The Beara Bus....with Awesome Views

The Beara Bus is a unique living space situated on the coastline with stunning views across the Atlantic to the Sheeps Head and Mizen Head Peninsulas and Bere Island. The entrance to the harbour of Castletownbere ( Irelands second largest fishing port) can be seen with the daily coming and goings of the fishing fleet. In the waters below the Bus basking shark, minke whale and dolphins are frequent visitors. The sun rising up over Sheeps Head Peninsula can make for an unforgettable breakfast !

World famous link golf courses , Waterville and Dooks are on the doorstep. The "Kerry Way hiking trail " a 200 km hiking way runs past the cottage. We are a km from the romantic Rossbeigh Beach. Our newly refurbished spacious farmhouse is located in a quiet, scenic area surrounded by fields which boasts a wonderful backdrop of The MacGillycuddy Reeks. This house is situated on a site of its own with a big back garden which is perfect for relaxing in or playing a game of soccer. The garden is facing the mountains with a southern aspect so is also a perfect place to simply relax, unwind and soak up the peaceful scenic surroundings .

The Gap Cottage, Gap of Dunloe

The Gap Cottage is located in the Gap of Dunloe beside the world famous Kate Kearney's cottage Bar & Restaurant. The Coffee Pot and Heather restaurants are only a few mins stroll away. The cottage comprises of two bedrooms (one bedroom with a double bed, the second bedroom with a bunk bed) both ensuite and a kitchen con living area. The rear of the cottage faces the Purple mountain whilst the front of the cottage faces Strickeen mountain.

It is ideally situated 8km from Killarney town and It is directly across from Kate Kearneys Cottage which offers traditional Irish music every night.The Coffee Pot Café also serves full Irish breakfast every morning and there is plenty of car parking space available. The Hideaway at Three Castle Head is truly unique property situated at the head of a beautiful valley with not another house in sight and surrounded only by wild nature. The views from the cabin are breathtaking with Dunlough Castle in the near distance, the lake beside it and the wild Atlantic ocean stretching off to Beara Peninsula across the water. Photographs just don't capture the true majesty of the place.
