Old pub cottage was an illegal pub in the 1860 s. We are situated in the centre of the beara peninsula on the wild Atlantic way coastal route amid stunning scenery . Our cosy cottage is open plan with a comfy double bedroom upstairs and handy pull out sofa bed downstairs ideal for 2 children/1 adult, a kitchenette, dryer and own garden sharing road access with the main house. Off the main Glenbeigh road, a short drive to Killorglin’s restaurants and cafes, 20 minutes to beautiful Killarney and 15 minutes drive to idyllic Rossbeigh beach. Follow the ring of Kerry to explore Valentia Island and Skellig Michael or west to magical Dingle and iconic Slea Head.

Gap of Dunloe Shepherd's Cottage

Enjoy a memorable visit when you stay in this unique place. Nestled in the heart of Gap of Dunloe Glacial Valley, Beaufort, Killarney on the Ring of Kerry, spend some quiet time in our lovingly restored 1800s cottage. The accommodation comprises of one King bed downstairs, a mezzanine with 2 single beds and second mezzanine with one single bed, both accessed by ladder. Cottage is Off Grid, lights and fridge are solar powered,. Cooker, hot water, heating and shower are powered by gas.

Nestled in a mountain side, the cottage is surrounded by waterfalls and stunning countryside with rolling hills to the east and mountains to the West. you can hike straight from the door up into the mountains (no busy roads) or you can just sit back and enjoy the beautiful views and relax. It's also an Ideal base for the Ring of Kerry and the Beara peninsula. There's a 7kw EV Charging point and payment is per KWh used. Please note the property is unsuitable for babies, infants or children.

Just minutes from Waterville, the premier coastal tourist centre on the Ring of Kerry, this property offer stunning views of Atlantic Ocean and the Mountains. The cottage is nestled between two championship golf courses, Waterville Links and Hogs Head. Its prime location offers stunning views of the Skellig Islands and Bay in an area ideal for Walking, Golfing, Fishing, Diving, Riding, wind surfing and many other activities.

The stove in not in use for burning fuel ....

As the village is located in the foothills of MacGillycuddy's Reeks and a stone’s throw from the River Laune, our newly refurbished cottage has so much of what Kerry has to offer on its doorstep. There is something in this unique place for everyone. So, whether you are hiking or climbing or just standing still, Solas is an ideal base in which to begin and end your day.

The Gap Cottage, Gap of Dunloe

The Gap Cottage is located in the Gap of Dunloe beside the world famous Kate Kearney's cottage Bar & Restaurant. The Coffee Pot and Heather restaurants are only a few mins stroll away. The cottage comprises of two bedrooms (one bedroom with a double bed, the second bedroom with a bunk bed) both ensuite and a kitchen con living area. The rear of the cottage faces the Purple mountain whilst the front of the cottage faces Strickeen mountain.
