Constructed in 1936 this home is nestled within a quiet and friendly neighborhood just minutes from the downtown area and just a short walk to Lake Wailes itself. Although the current owner updated the home with practical renovations, the peculiar house still has the character and features from the time it was built, features that once granted it a place among the pages of Ripley’s Believe it or Not.

Centrally located to many Florida destinations- Legoland is only 7 miles away, Disney World is 35 miles away, and you are less than 50 miles from Tampa. The house is located on over an acre of lakefront property. The lake has a public boat launch if your family enjoys water sports or fishing or use the kayaks we provide on site!

Keep it simple at this peaceful and centrally-located studio !! You will have your own private entrance. The studio is connected to the main house, but you are guaranteed complete privacy . Enjoy the 1 bedroom, 1 bath with full kitchen. The bed is a king size bed and there is a twin floor mattress . The studio has its own washer and dryer. In addition, you can walk to all the nearby restaurants and heritage park on Mainstreet!

Dottie's Place, Comfy Home w/ a BIG Yard!

Peaceful comfy home on ¾ of an acre, tucked into a great neighborhood. Watch birds. Enjoy relaxing on the front or back porch, or an evening by the firepit. Take a short walk in the neighborhood and you’ll find a pasture with animals. Downtown Bartow has many charming shops, antiques, a brewery, & restaurants and there are many more attractions nearby! Ask about camper hook-up for an extra lodging option.

The Strawberry Field Stilt House

555 square foot house overlooking 30 acres of strawberry fields and trees. Extra guest fee is $20 per person per night after 2. Dogs are allowed with pre-approval. NO cats allowed. There is a $100 pet cleaning fee. Yes you will have the house to yourself. I stay in another house on the same property so I’ll generally be around if you have any questions or issues.
