This is a 1 bedroom cabin and is not suitable for children or pets. Vehicular access to this listing is via a farm track with 3/4 of a mile of VERY BUMPY potholes. The Old Kitchen is part of Garth Farm which has been in co-host Edward's family since the 1800s. Set against the side of Garth mountain it enjoys beautiful views by day and stunning skies by night. It is ideal for walkers, cyclists, bird watchers... The Old Kitchen is cosy and quirky, practical and unfussy: a single large space with sleeping area, small kitchen, dining and seating areas plus log burning stove. A shower room opens off the main space and there are French doors and a patio.

If you want the sound of birdsong and farm animals and a completely rural experience, drive up the mountain road and join us at our smallholding where we have an abundance of wildlife. We have spent the past few years lovingly restoring the stonework, oak floors and beams, fitting a modern kitchen with reclaimed worktops and a shower room with handmade wooden unit. Private patio with your own access to the property and a lake to walk around, although wellies may be needed sometimes!

No 1 Cathelyd Colliery Stables is a dog friendly property renovated from a pit pony stables. Next door, No 2 is slightly larger and can be booked separately on Airbnb. There are walks on the doorstep being next to the Cwm Clydach bird reserve and the cottage has its own private valley walk with a waterfall. We are situated 3 miles from J45 of the M4 with easy access to Swansea, Gower and the Brecon Beacons. The Swansea Cycle path is on the doorstep. The town is a mile away.

This contemporary, spacious pod sleeps up to 2 people with a king-size bed. With its own en-suite and heating, the pod also has a smart TV & DVD player, kettle, toaster, microwave and a fridge. Complimentary tea, coffee and sugar are also provided. This pod has full use to its very own private hot tub!
