The floating staircase, huge picture windows, expansive deck and wooded outdoor space make this home perfect for an upstate getaway - while still being close to some of the major area attractions and towns. Our historic street also features 1700s homes and a farm/brewery.

It boasts a full kitchen stocked with modern stainless steel appliances and style for days. Charming vintage cottage on the Esopus Creek. Craftsman style with original 1930's details and essential modern updates. A short drive to Saugerties, Kingston, Rhinebeck, and Woodstock. Peaceful setting with cool breezes, eagles, ducks, great fishing, swimming, and a boat launch/swim ramp - two kayaks are available for use if arranged prior to your stay. If you are participating in the HITS equestrian events - the location is very convenient and the driveway can accommodate horse trailers.

Historic drive-in movie in town. Metro north Poughkeepsie sta 6mi south offering taxi and bus service.

The Stone Cottage: Close to skiing & hiking

In the 1700s Queen Anne of the Netherlands gifted a parcel of land to her Dutch subjects, the Schoonemakers. The family built a stone cottage, from which they cultivated acres of orchards in the Hudson Valley. Today, you can stay in this 275-year old stone cottage and enjoy its modern kitchen, European bath, wide-plank pine floors and sun lit bedrooms. Half a mile away, you'll find Falling Waters preserve with hiking trails through the woods and down to the Hudson River.
