Welcome to Trout River Log Cabin, a rustic 19th century Norwegian-built log house nestled in the rolling hills of Northeast Iowa, just seven miles from downtown Decorah, or three from TG Brewing. The cabin is open seasonally from April to October. Our family farm with its many acres of perennial grass fields, timber, and meandering Trout River is absolutely gorgeous. And while you're at it be sure to check out our other overnight stay, Decorah House, located five blocks from downtown Decorah.

There is plenty of space inside the cabin. The cabin contains two private rooms, one with a king size bed and the other with a queen bed. This three-bedroom/two-bathroom property features a full kitchen and living room, finished basement, a large deck, charcoal grill (you supply the charcoal and lighter fluid) and hot tub! Enjoy the spectacular sunsets, hike the woods and relax by the gas fireplace. - Our hot tubs operate year-round - Pets are allowed, but must be preapproved, and there is a separate, nonrefundable pet fee

The cabin is on a 3 acre pond with good fishing and a sand beach, boats and kayaks are available for use. There is also a covered shelter with picnic tables and an extra bathroom and shower, all in the shelter . A secluded area - 1/4 mile private driveway. New in 2016.
