You'll have the entire newly remodeled home on 1/2 acre to yourselves, complete with game room and outdoor fire pit, grassy area for badminton, and cornhole. Just a short walk (about 1/2 mile) to the Speelyai Bay Rec. Area/boat ramp which opens up into Lake Merwin. Kayaks provided during summer months and there is plenty of parking.

The Carpenter's Cottage

The carpenter's cottage is decorated in vintage woodworking and logging tools that have been used for several generations in our family. Rainier has a rich history of logging, lumber and woodworking. Some tools have been found nearby. Enjoy a peaceful country setting with deer, birds, occasional bobcat, squirrels, raccoons, occasional elk, but is a short walk to town. Watch deer munch on apples and relax in the shade as you walk around our 14 acres or enjoy them from your windows.

Secluded creekside cabin (Ariel, WA)

This breathtaking retreat is perfect for a private getaway in the woods of the Pacific Northwest. A nature lover's paradise just 50 miles from Portland! You'll have 2 peaceful acres and a gorgeous creek all to yourself. And Speelyai Park, which is right on Lake Merwin, is only a short walk away. An hour drive (or less) will take you to some of the great natural wonders of the Pacific Northwest, including: Mount St. Helens The Ape Cave Lava Canyon Lower Lewis River Falls ...and more!

Experience an otters view of the Columbia river at the cabin which is remote from the other buildings. It includes heat, good internet, several streaming TV channels and trundle bed that makes into king size bed with cabinets and cold water sink. Your retreat includes gazebo with propane barbecue, fire pit and outhouse. Bedding, cookware, dishes, oil, coffee, tea, coffee pot, etc. are provided as well. Access to pier house includes heated shower and bathroom along with full kitchen.

Welcome to our peaceful, cozy retreat just 2.5 miles from the heart of Castle Rock, Washington. Nestled on the way to the majestic Mt. St. Helens, this 700 square foot, two-bedroom, one-bathroom cottage is a true gem. The house boasts a fully fenced yard, a delightful patio area with a BBQ and a picnic table, and a charming outdoor fire pit for those perfect evenings when conditions allow (No Burn Ban). Mt. St. Helens is 51 miles from the house. Mt. Rainier national park is 83 miles.

Studio apartment above a garage, BEHIND the pictured house. Private entrance, off-street parking; 325 sq feet including full kitchen, tub and shower, queen bed (memory foam), dining table, TV. Located on lovely Lake Sacajawea with its tree-filled park. Walk or bike the perimeter (3+ miles) or part of the lake. House is a short distance from the hospital on the opposite side of the lake. Many of our guests are "travelers," medical professionals working on short-term contracts.
