Oak Framed Home with Countryside Views

Get back in touch with nature at this luxury cabin nestled in a quiet hamlet. Find tranquility on the terrace surrounded by breathtaking views, or lounge amid thoughtful decor and chic modern finishes in the exposed oak beam interior. Blue Vale is brand new as of June 2018! We helped to design this green oak framed building and have been involved in the whole process of building it, doing much of it ourselves. For our colour scheme we have used different shades of blue throughout, playing on the name of Blue Vale. The furnishing and finishing touches are of a high standard to help promote a comfortable and luxurious finish. There is an eclectic style combining modern country with industrial finishes. Luxury, high thread cotton bedding and towels, large flat screen smart tv's and luxury Neals Yard toiletries help to give the top-end finishing touches we would appreciate if we stayed away from home. Blue Vale is completely self contained but sits in the grounds of our family home. The decked outdoor living space is screened by trellis on the garden side with fields on the other. You would be very welcome to walk around our garden. We can be as interactive as you wish. With living in the same grounds we are close at hand if needed. We will welcome you when you arrive but will be respectful of your privacy. The glorious Blackmore Vale landscape is a tapestry of farmed green fields with a sprinkling of English villages, of which Sandley is one. Walk out (or cycle, using our available bikes) onto country lanes and venture along a web of footpaths to discover this unspoilt part of Dorset. Visit Stourhead, stroll around the ancient towns of Sherborne or Shaftesbury or discover the beautiful Jurassic coast. Visit Longleat safari park, Haynes Motor Museum, Monkey world & Yeovilton Air Museum. Sandley is a quiet hamlet with the neighbouring village of Buckhorn Weston just a mile away. The Stapleton Arms pub can be found here. We are 10 minutes away from the towns of Gillingham and Wincanton where various supermarkets, shops and services are. There is a train station in Gillingham which has a direct route to London in less than 2 hours. The larger cities of Bath and Salisbury are less than an hours drive and it takes around an hour to drive to the beautiful Jurassic coastline. The historic towns of Shaftesbury and Sherborne are only 15 and 20 minutes away respectively. The quiet rural roads and bridleways of the Blackmore Vale are excellent for cycling and walking. Blue Vale is in the grounds of our family home. There is a one- bedroomed B&B facility on the ground floor of our home.

Romantic barn with kingsize 4-poster, fire, bikes

If you are looking for a romantic escape in the New Forest, just a short walk from the pub and open forest, then look no further. Situated in the grounds of an impressive country house, the Goat Shed is the stylishly renovated ground floor of a 19th century barn, with a kingsize four poster bed, claw foot bath and woodburning stove. Deer roam through the gardens, and our wood burning stove makes nights in perfectly cosy. A great spot from which to explore the forest, or simply relax in comfort.

Cosy Purbeck Cottage on the Jurassic Coast

We fully renovated this cosy, two bedroom cottage to create a warm, welcoming space where the only sounds you’ll hear are the tweeting of birds and crackle of the newly fitted wood burning stove. The cottage has a king, a twin room and a sofa bed in the lounge so is flexible with accommodating various set ups. The location is just about as good as it gets. It’s a 10 min walk along the stunning River Frome into Wareham and a stone’s throw from all major tourist attractions on the Purbecks.

Located in Acton, A small tranquil hamlet, The cottage is surrounded by fields and located right on the South West Coast Path. Incorporating breath-taking views from all around. Everything is on your doorstep! Walkable is the Square and Compass, The Kings Arms in Langton, Dancing Ledge, Seacombe, Chapmans Pool, Dinosaur Footprints, The South West Coast Path, Swanage and Studland Beaches.

Stunning wooden lodge in Purbeck Countryside

A perfect escape from the crowds. This newly built cabin nestles in the Purbeck countryside in the grounds of a Victorian cottage. Sit on your secluded decking and watch the steam trains roll by whilst enjoying relaxing drinks and a bbq. On colder days huddle up on the sofa in front of the logburner or wrap up for some glorious local walks. The historic villages of Corfe Castle, Worth Matravers and Kingston are within walking distance of around 30/45 minutes, with lovely pubs at the end!

The Shepherds Hut, Corfe Castle

Situated in the countryside between Corfe and Swanage and close to the beaches and many attractions of the Jurassic Coastline. This traditional Shepherds Hut sleeps two in a King bed but you could accommodate up to a further three guests by pitching your own tent alongside it. Private setting with it’s own gated and fenced area with room to park off the road. Exclusive use of hot open air shower, kitchen hut and toilet situated in a separate hut next door. Sorry dogs are not permitted.

Poppy Cottage

Centrally placed in the popular village of Corfe Castle. Poppy Cottage is a Grade II listed, semi-detached thatch cottage; alluding to its charming interior. You’ll find all you need and more tucked away in this lovely cottage. Whether you’ve come for a beach break or family adventure in Dorset there is a lot to discover nearby. Studland bay is a 10 min drive away and there are a host of walks in the area. Corfe village boasts many pubs, village shops and the historic castle ruin.

Enjoy a great break at this centrally-located place. It has its own entrance, 1 double bedroom and a sofa bed in the lounge, own kitchen and shower room. There is free wifi, Sky movies and Sports channels via Virgin in the lounge and a dvd/blueray player plus a selection of DVDs and books to entertain you. Hamworthy beach, park and paddling pool just a 15 mins walk. Local shops, pubs and takeaways less than 5 mins walk and Poole Town Centre & Quay a 30mins walk or 5 mins drive.

Rempstone Shepherd’s Huts. Isle of Purbeck. Conker

'Conker hut' is a newly handcrafted, rurally positioned hut set on the grounds of a country Manor, which is located in the heart of the Isle of Purbeck, with Poole Harbour situated 2 miles to the North, the Jurassic coast 3 miles to the south and the historic site of Corfe Castle 2 miles to the west. The hut is cosy, well equipped and perfectly suited for a rural retreat, however please don't forget you are staying in a Shepherds hut and not a luxury apartment with WIFI and a TV.

The Cottage is an open plan building next to the entrance to Corfe Common in a tranquil setting. Downstairs there is a King-size bed & upstairs there are 2 single beds . Sleeping areas are open plan but have thick curtains that can be drawn to create a private and cosy space. Downstairs has Wet-room with sink & separate toilet & sink New Kitchen WiFi Log burner and 2 free basket of logs South facing Patio Parking 2 cars 5 mins walk to Corfe Village Pets welcome.

Deal Cottage - a cosy getaway for two

Deal Cottage is a traditional Purbeck stone mid terrace cottage in the Herston area of Swanage. Formerly a quarryman's home for many generations this grade 2 listed property is part of the original town & has uninterrupted hill views of Ninebarrow & Ballard Down. Walk & explore the Isle of Purbeck: just 30 mins drive to Durdle Door & Lulworth Cove. Swanage town centre & beach are a 20 min (2km) walk from Deal Cottage.
