Paradise awaits, our cozy, coastal self-contained cottage is ideally located, in a central, quiet and peaceful area and handy to the beach. Overlooking the Lake, it is perfect for a weekend getaway or longer to explore the Coromandel. A short stroll, Cooks is a beautiful sandy beach, very safe for swimming with many other stunning beaches nearby. Cooks Beach is made famous because Captain James Cook sailed on the HMS Endeavour into Mercury Bay in 1769 and anchored at Cooks Beach off Purangi.

A completely renovated light, modern, airy, private studio space equipped with everything to make your stay perfect. The space is tastefully decorated with brand new furnishings. Hanging clothes rack and specific suitcase/bag space included. Private, covered outdoor deck with lounge chairs and bbq for you to enjoy the beautiful Coromandel evenings on. Bar fridge and microwave for use. (Tea, coffee and milk supplied.) Air conditioner installed for comfort. TV with Netflix and Freeview.

Take in the serenity of this coastal Hamptons style space, complete with a kitchenette, ensuite, lounge area and private deck. Here you can relax and enjoy a drink overlooking the landscaped gardens, with only the native quail birdsong and ocean waves to be heard. Set in a quiet location, local restaurants, convenience stores, tennis courts and nature reserves are all within an easy walking distance.

Give yourself a beach holiday like no other. An elevated site, nestled in the trees. You will wake to bird song and a full unobscured view of the beach. The property features 3 rooms with beach views, a very large open living area and expansive deck perfect for a BBQ. The house is naturally sheltered from the predominant westerly wind meaning you can make the most of the outdoor space. The beach is only a 5 minute walk away and the stream provides safe swimming areas for children.

A Gem at Cooks Beach - Purangi Pearl

Located at the Purangi river end of beautiful Cooks Beach our refurbished unit is ideally located for rest and relaxation. Or if you prefer a more active break we provide a double kayak, (including life jackets) and paddle boards, and can suggest beautiful areas for walking. The property backs onto a reserve with space for parking so please enquire if you would like to bring your boat. Safe swimming, kayaking and paddle boarding are within view and only a 2 minute walk away.

The best views in New Zealand! Our super comfortable architecturally designed home has 180degree views of Mercury Bay. You have full privacy and access to your own spacious room, bathroom and private balcony just for your use. We provide coffee, tea, milk, cookies, cereal and a mini-fridge for your use. Please note there is no access to kitchen facilities (but we have fabulous local restaurants we can recommend!). Easy parking to Cathedral Cove on our road!

Coromandel Sanctuary

Situated on the crest of the Coromandel ranges on the 309 road. Mahakirau Forest Estate comprises almost 600 ha of native forest. Each site is convenated by QEII National Trust who describe Mahakirau "outstanding for it's ecology and wildlife value with brown kiwi, kaka, Hochsetetter's and Archey's frogs all present". A spacious house in a bush setting, sit back and relax, take a bush walk down to the stream on the property and star gaze at night.

Admiral Waters - Waterfront Accommodation UNIT 1

ADMIRAL WATERS - Waterfront accommodation is situated on the Purangi Estuary at Cooks Beach. This one of two new purpose built units provide private luxury accommodation, and is perfect for a great getaway for a weekend or longer. They are nestled amongst new homes in a new subdivision overlooking the boat ramp on the Purangi Estuary and a few minutes walk from the main Cooks Beach and a short drive to famous Cathedral Cove and Hot Water Beach.

Cooks Beach Studio Escape

A little update for our lovely guests. This studio, as shown in the main photos, is available for stays until 30 April. In May we’ll be closing briefly while we create a beautiful new, larger 30sqm studio in its place. From 1 June, guests will enjoy the brand new space, thoughtfully designed and finished to the same high standard and relaxed coastal style you know and love. Suzy’s – Ocean Views, Pizza Oven, Pet Friendly

Wake up to sweeping ocean views over Mercury Bay and the islands beyond. This light, bright, and airy beach house was designed for relaxation, with sunny decks that capture sea breezes and stunning sunsets. Just a short stroll takes you to the white sands of Cooks Beach, or hop in the car for a quick drive to Cathedral Cove and Hot Water Beach — two of the Coromandel’s most iconic spots.

Cooks Beach Cottage

Our cottage is close to parks, Cooks beach, Hot Water Beach, Cathedral Cove. You’ll love the stunning views over Mercury Bay and its islands from the bed and terrace. The cottage is private surrounded by bush. There is a full kitchen and you are welcome to use the vegetables and fruit from the garden. Cooks Cottage is perfect for a couple.
