Located in a quiet rural setting along side the Kahurangi National Park, with beach access just over the road this is a great spot to base yourself for Golden Bay's adventures or relax with a book for a picnic on the beach. Its a short walk to the café and shops and all sorts of options around for activities including: kayaking, beach biking, a variety of hikes, fishing, swimming, caving and rock climbing. This unit is on the ground floor of our home. We live upstairs with our 2 children.

Studio by the beach

Everyone tells us they wished they stayed longer! Treat yourself to the peace and tranquillity of our place! The studio has everything you need for a relaxed stay. It's a large colourful room with a comfy Queen size bed. It is nestled in our large garden with just a short walk down to the beach which is great for walking , swimming or fishing! Golden Bay has so much to offer with beaches, bush-walks, cafes and lots of artisans and we are only a few minutes drive from the renowned Mussel Inn!

Kōtuku Cottage - spacious seclusion by the water

This quiet cottage is nestled amongst mature native trees in iconic Totara Avenue, 10 mins from Collingwood, and overlooking a tidal estuary and bush-clad hills, with the beach just over the road. The spacious open plan kitchen, dining, living area is private and sunny. The main bedroom has a queen bed, while the second bedroom has a queen and two singles in a bunk. Kōtuku has a wooden deck along two sides, where you can sit and enjoy the view, or you can watch the tides from a private jetty.

Collingwood Birdsong Cottage

Birdsong Cottage is a small self-contained house in a private and organic forest-garden oasis. Wake to an abundance of birdlife and an inspiring dawn chorus. Enjoy a 5 minute walk to Collingwood’s Courthouse cafe, art studios, and long sandy beach. Ideal for a restful and creative retreat, or as a base to explore Golden Bay’s famous wilderness tracks and beaches. Or pause to enjoy the Courthouse Cafe, and an evening at the popular Mussel Inn before hiking or biking the Heaphy Track.

ParaPara River Retreat, tranquil, private, cosy

This well crafted stone cottage is close to beautiful Golden Bay bush walks, old historic gold workings, lonely beaches, the Mussel Inn, swimming holes and much more. A striking building nestled in a tranquil and private setting, makes for a relaxing stay that would suit couples and solo adventurers alike. Literally on Kahurangi National Park's doorstep! The host's partner has developed an extensive network of tracks , some easy walks and some more challenging, with great views of the bay.

Cosy, zen studio in the heart of Takaka village

Welcome to our garden property just 100m from the main Takaka shops. The studio is large and cosy with its own bathroom. You will enjoy privacy with your own deck but we are always around for a chat and love meeting new people. There are no cooking facilities (but we do have a fridge, kettle, toaster etc so you can enjoy your morning coffee and muesli etc). You are just two minutes stroll away from some truly great cafes and restaurants - The Wholemeal Cafe is our favourite, open 7 days.

Potter's Cottage

This beautiful Self-Contained Potter’s Cottage awaits you, in the heart of Collingwood with views through to the Ruataniwha estuary. The Cottage is situated next to the Courthouse Café and adjacent to famous potter’s gallery & workshop. It is a stone’s throw from the beach and conveniently located to explore the picturesque top of the South Island. It is across the road from Farewell Spit Eco tours and a short drive to Wharariki beach, and Aorere Valley. A two night minimum is a must!

Pukeko Cottage

In beautiful Golden Bay just 10 minutes drive from the main Town of Takaka, hidden away on a small Lifestyle block is our Family Home and The 2 bedroom Cottage which is available for you to rent. With walking distance to a quiet peaceful beach . Golden bay is full of other attractions and the accommodation is right in the middle of it. Our family of four live near by and will respect your privacy but the same time we are here to help you out with any questions you may have .

Garden Chalet , Golden Bay Lodge

The Chalet is a cosy retreat tucked away in our organic gardens. It has a well equiped kitchen, a log burner for those winter nights and Starlink Wifi. The Lodge offers private beach access and a shared spa pool with expansive views across the ocean. Take a stroll through 4ha of gardens and feel free to sample fruits from our organic orchards. The Chalet has garden views only, if you prefer sea views we can offer you The Bach, The Cabin, The Cottage or The Lodge main house.

Retro Glamping and a View

On a quiet small lifestile block the recently restored caravan is facing northeast with a view to mountains and sea. Collingwood and the beach is only 1 min away. Wharariki Beach and Farewell Spit about15 min. A small fully equiped kitchen, a seperate bedroom and spacious seating area awaits you inside. Your private Bathroom and Toilet is about 20m away in the main house. You can enjoy the peaceful setting in a way like camping used to be 40 years ago.
