There are 2 incredible beaches within walking distance of the cottage as well as amazing scenery. Island hopping adventures abound with 4 ferries within a short drive offering day trips to Gigha, Islay, Jura, Arran and Cowal.

The cottage is in a rural location about 3 miles from Clachan, 4 miles from Tayinloan.

The Vestry, St. Columbas Church

We have a quirky vestry, suitable for 2 adults or small family, attached to a converted church on Whiting Bay seafront. The Vestry has recently been converted to a high standard. It has a super kingsize bed plus a sofa bed in the living room/kitchen area. TV, cooker, fridge, kettle and toaster. Shower room/toilet. Views from the living room look out onto the sea and it's a stones throw away from the beach. Separate entrance with garden. Free parking. Bedlinen and towels provided. Free wifi.

Broombank Cabin rural getaway Isle of Arran

Set in the heart of the Lochranza country side on the stunning Isle of Arran, we have a tranquil retreat, with stags and golden eagles in close proximity. Relax, unwind and take in the stunning views of the sleeping warrior mountains. There is a stunning sea view from the top of the track the sunset is quite spectacular. We are nestled within the hill side of Lochranza up a rough private track. there are many walks from Laggan walk further up the track or fairy dell on the sea coast.

It is owned and managed by myself. The lodge is layed out for a couple or solo travellers. Argyll is steeped in history and has miles of coastline, lochs, forests and mountains. Romantic hideaway cottage and garden in a secluded location in Tighnabruaich. It's been used as an artist's home since 2003 and is ideal for a romantic getaway. Enjoy open plan living with a contemporary beach house feel overlooking a mature private garden in the stunning surroundings of Argyll. Booking is essential for restaurants and cafes. The cottage is not suitable for children or pets.

Dunans Cottage

Dunans Cottage is situated in the beautiful Knapdale Forest 1.9 miles from Cairnbaan within a National Scenic Area. The views are fantastic! The Cottage is off the beaten track but within a traditional farming hamlet with access via a forestry track ( see illustrated map ). Many outdoor and indoor activities are available within the area but the peace and quiet at Dunans are unique.

Bearnus Bothy on Isle of Ulva

Bearnus Bothy has been lovingly renovated using our principle of ecological design to repair, repurpose and use what has been washed-up by the sea. It is one of the last old residences outside of the main dwellings around the Main House on Ulva. As such there are no neighbours until you reach the tiny community on Gometra - where we live - another three miles down the track.
