The Old Barn, Buxton - A Dream Come True

It's rare to find a place that's both historic and modern. It has been my dream to renovate the unique and private barn at our Grade 2 family home and finally it has happened! I would love to share it with you. Ours is one of the oldest houses in Buxton dating back to the seventeenth century and was once a coaching stop on the medieval road to London. It is now a boutique property set near the common, ideally situated to explore the Peak District yet just a short walk into the town centre.

17th Century Peak District Cottage

Mount Pleasant Cottage was built in the 1600s and is the oldest residential property in the picturesque village of Monyash. This peaceful Peak District getaway is full of character including original oak beams, a wood-burning stove and stunning views of the surrounding countryside as well as a library of fascinating books from around the world. The cottage is just a few minutes walk from the Bulls Head pub and Old Smithy cafe. The cottage lies at the beginning of the stunning Lathkill Dale walk.

Magical Historic Barn Conversion

This barn is not for everyone; it is no ordinary holiday cottage, but a retreat for the senses. A unique chance to step back in time, a place where time stands still. The antidote to the fast-pace of life, up here you will feel as though you’re in another world. This 17th century barn is a love note to its 1960s conversion, with all its quirky features still intact. There are no screens, the lighting is low and warm, you will not hear a sound apart from the birdsong. For some, it is heaven.

Flutterby Cottage is situated on a peaceful lane yet a 2 minute stroll to the village amenities e.g pub, cafe, chip shop, post office and licensed general store. Surrounded by beautiful country side with easy access to footpaths, hills and dales. Central for all the Peak District has to offer and to the towns of Buxton, Leek, Ashbourne and Bakewell

Stylish little barn, heart of the Peak District

This little stone barn is at the heart of the Peak District and combines contemporary style with oak beams. Completely self contained, it has an open-plan layout with one double bed, shower room, kitchen/lounge and all facilities. Doors open out onto a private walled patio, with outdoor furniture for relaxing in the summer. In a small village within easy reach of Buxton, Bakewell and Chatsworth. Secure bike storage, one dog welcome, wifi, EV charging point, dining pub 5 minutes walk.

Tom Toms Country Cottage

Reconnect with nature at this unforgettable escape. Located in the Peak District National Park. 7 miles from Ashbourne and 7 miles from Leek. Alton Towers is a 10 minute drive and the polar bear enclosure at Peak Wildlife centre is a 5 minute drive. A perfect location for those wishing to explore the Peak District National Park. Close to Manifold Valley, Thors Cave, Dovedale, Thorpe cloud, Matlock farm park and the Churnet Valley Railway. There is a pub within walking distance.

Sleeps 4 cosy cottage near Buxton & Bakewell

Rose Cottage has been sympathetically restored to create a cosy and secluded cottage, in the pretty village of Chelmorton, with fabulous outdoor space. Located between Buxton and Bakewell and with a fantastic village pub within walking distance, this is a great countryside bolthole from which to explore the Peak District. Perfect for couples or families with small children, dog friendly and cycle friendly. We can accept 2 dogs and a fee of £30.00 per dog is payable.

“The Goods Van” at Stoop Farm

Relax in total comfort, in our converted 1950s railway goods van. Once common place on farms around the Peak District this little gem is far removed from the animal shelter it once was! Fitted out to the highest quality, featuring a king sized bed, comfy sofa, kitchen, log burner and smart TV, etc. Something quite special, situated in its own secluded area, a few steps away from the magnificent views of Chrome hill and the Dove valley beyond.
