The Copper Hide - Beautiful and Unique Escape

The Copper Hide is a unique escape at Arth Valley Retreat on the west coast of Wales. This old dairy milking parlour was converted into accommodation some years ago but has recently (2024) benefited from a complete makeover. With a roll top bath, mezzanine bed with large star gazing window and Woodburning stove. During your stay you’ll be free to roam our piece of the valley that flows down to a river with waterfalls. A cottage set in the idyllic Welsh countryside. The open plan kitchen/diner leads through to a seating area with wood burning stove. A separate downstairs lounge contains the original oven/stove and has a large window seat providing beautiful views across the valley. Aberdar is perfect for getting away from it all and provides a great base for walking, bird watching or exploring the picturesque counties of Carmarthenshire and Ceredigion.

Capel Cwtch

The Cwtch is a private guest suite in the garden of our home: a 1870 chapel. It is situated between New Quay and Cardigan conveniently off the A487. Guests will enjoy the light and airy room with a lovely outlook. People staying will have sole use of the hot tub and garden spaces. There is also an outside bar/kitchenette area with fridge, microwave, table top oven, air fryer, George Foreman grill and kettle. There is off street parking.
