Southern Cross Suite - Panoramic Lake Views

The Southern Cross is bright and cheery with a bit or a botanical feel. Lie in bed and watch the sun set on the Remarkables. With private balcony and half turret sitting room with window seating you can feel very at one with nature. It is a perfect spot to sit and watch the native Bellbirds and Tuis. There are stunning views of everything from The Remarkables, Lake Wakatipu, Cecil and Walter Peak. Freshly snow capped on a cold morning, Cecil will speak to your soul.

Since the 1920s the Poolburn Hotel has been the meeting place of the Ida Valley. Nestled in the remote highlands of Central Otago, between Dunedin and the Lakes District, the valley is home to a close-knit farming community. No longer a pub, we now offer lodging and activities to adventurers from afar. Please send a message if you have any special requirements or dietary restrictions.
