In a lovely peaceful space between the trees, with a view to the Gardunha mountain. We offer a double bed, small kitchenette with pots & pans, gas cooker, fridge with small freezer compartment, compost toilet, shower & wood for the log burner in colder months. House of Schist in the center of Portugal

Three schist houses being restored at the village of Cunqueiros, in the municipality of Proença-a-Nova, form the Casas da Encosta project. Here it’s possible to relive the life history and culture of the region’s people in the comfort of a typical Portuguese village. According to the owner, Nuno Caldeira, the houses are being restored following the local construction tradition where schist, clay and wood are featured. One of them, Casa da Lagariça, has already opened.

Sitio calmo e tranquilo onde se pode apreciar a natureza e observar a fauna local, através de passeios pelo pinhal, ou optar seguir a ribeira até sua nascente. Também pode relaxar na nossa piscina. Ideal para descansar com a família ou amigos. Aceitamos todos os animais. A quinta, o Chalé, o jardim e a piscina são para uso exclusivo dos hóspedes.

Stay in a newly renovated stone farm house built in 1888 on top of an ancient Roman road. Small cosy apartment off the beaten track, ideal for quiet retreats and getaways to focus on writing or creative projects. You will wake up to a breathtaking view of the wooded hills and overgrown farmland. Take long walks in nature or in the small village. Fresh fish available twice a week, 15 mins drive to the supermarkets and 7mins to a smaller grocery store.

Several natural beaches nearby, nearest 8km. Horseback-riding, without experience, at 9km.

É um lugar para estar em contacto com a natureza.

A Casa de Campo da Quinta das Canaveias dispõe de dois quartos de casal e um quarto com duas camas de solteiro. Os hóspedes podem contar ainda com uma cozinha equipada com eletrodomésticos de última geração (fogão e forno, frigorífico, máquina de lavar louça, micro-ondas, torradeira), casa de banho ampla e arejada, sala de estar munida de televisão de ecrã plano e espaçoso terraço com churrasqueira.

Enjoy a spacious 3-bedroom living space located near the beautiful Serra da Estrela region. The living space features two bedrooms with double beds and a third bedroom with a bunk bed—ideal for families or small groups. Pets are very welcome, but please keep them on a lead to protect our resident cats and to ensure dogs don’t roam into other guest or private areas.
