Pohatu bay is on the south-eastern corner of Banks peninsula and as soon as you arrive you will be welcomed by many rare sheep breeds, be amazed by the tranquil surroundings with relaxing private safe swimming beaches, bush and many walks to explore. This include an evening penguin tour supporting 30+ years of conservation The communal kitchen is fully equipped: full range electric stoves, kettle, toasters, fridges. Note that it is a steep narrow gravel road for 4WD vehicle to access the bay.

Our 1/2 acre section is fully fenced so that your pet (if bringing) can roam freely. Even though we are off grid, we have great internet access (fast WIFI).

We offer our cosy fully self-contained Caravan for rent, a few nights, weeks or months. A 5-minute walk to the town centre, beach, train station, whalewatch, pubs and cafes/restaurants. Linen, pots and pans etc, amenities, small bench oven provided. Off-street parking on our property and totally independent. Free Wifi, 23" TV, with Chrome Cast (Netflix). Free courtesy vehicle available for pickup and drop-off to train, airport and bus stations. Rate is negotiable longer than 21 nights.

Super chill little Retro Hut, so cute! Independent, self sufficient, private. Double Bed (snug) above the cab and a single bed downstairs. Spring water plumbed in and mains power and heater. Pots and pans etc and board games to play. Super funky toilet block and spacious shower room just a short walk away on lush lawns. Gorgeous rural outlook. Ocean 1min drive away. Akaroa 20mins. No WiFi but excellent coverage on Spark network, average on Vodafone.

The Red Bus

This unique contemporary cosy bus is fully self contained for your comfort with a hot shower, kitchen and bathroom and a pot belly stove. It has it's own private garden and parking. It is private, warm and tranquil, surrounded by nature. It is within walking distance of the Little River cafes and art gallery, and close to the rail trail (biking), bush walks, beautiful beaches and Akaroa. The bus is great for couples, and solo adventurers.

Delightful Tiny Home in Kaikoura

You'll love this unique and romantic escape. A cozy wee tiny home with a lovely view of the mountains from the outdoor seating. It is a 2 minute stroll to the beach and a lovely walk along the esplanade into town. There is a large bathroom that is 2 steps from the tiny home connected by decking. This is a pet friendly fully fenced little home. (If you are bringing your pet, please add them onto the booking)
