A space to rest and relax in the Scottish Borders

Part of a Steading (barn) sympathetically converted in 2006, overlooking woods and fields from its own enclosed garden. The cottage is ideaI for exploring the Scottish Borders and Northumberland. One hour by car from Edinburgh, 35 mins from Lindisfarne and 45 mins from Bamburgh. If you'd like to leave the car at home and cycle to us it is 13 miles from the station at Berwick-upon-Tweed. Tucked away down a small lane, you can walk or cycle from the door or simply sit and watch the wildlife.

Driftwood is a recently refurbished quaint cottage in the centre of Eyemouth within a 2 minute walk from the family and dog friendly beach. Eyemouth is a picturesque seaside village with a bustling harbour where you can buy locally caught fish or enjoy a meal in the many restaurants all within walking distance. Eyemouth has plenty of activities including fishing, boat trips and diving. There is a leisure centre and amusement arcade with 10 pin bowling.

There are plenty of walks, enabling you to see the sheep and cows close by and an abundance of wildlife on the farm. Next to the two-storey smithy (a former artists studio) , you'll find hidden steps opening up to a large garden. The Smithy is an oasis of peace nestled in the centre of the historic town of Berwick-upon-Tweed. Dogs are more than welcome to stay :)

Beblowe offers you the chance to unwind and enjoy the magic of Holy Island which is cut off from the mainland twice a day by the tides giving you a true sense of escapism. The cottage is blessed with wonderful views and is bathed in morning light. For colder months my home is cosy with central heating and a wood burning stove; perfect to relax in front of after exploring the island .
