Water House is a beautiful , spacious, private detached property which nestles in the remote, very peaceful hamlet of Sparty Lea within the North Pennines AONB. With stunning panoramic views across the valley shadowed by heather moorland. Private sunny garden and parking for 2 cars. Perfectly situated for hill walking, pony trekking, cycling, bird watching or stargazing in the truly dark skies, or simply unwinding in the garden room and watching the weather and landscape constantly changing!

A detached stone cottage in the heart of the north Pennines. Stunning views. With fantastic footpaths, cycle routes straight from the door for those with plenty of energy as it is hilly. Great base for exploring the area. With pubs and coop 5 minute drive or 25 minute walk. Recently renovated to a high standard but still feels characterful and cosy. Underfloor heating, induction hob and super insulated. 2 well behaved dogs only are allowed for a small fee. Sorry no other pets allowed.

Swinburne Castle

Swinburne Castle is perfectly situated within its own beautiful parkland and gardens. Traditionally decorated, parts of the house have tremendous history dating back to the 12th century. The east wing is extremely comfortable and private, and don't be perturbed by the stone steps leading down to the vaulted cellar. A delicious continental breakfast will be provided in your rooms. There is ample parking and a tennis court you are welcome to use. lovely footpaths from the house for keen walkers.

Cronkley Cottage sits on the edge of Derwent Reservoir, with every room enjoying far-reaching water views. Evenings are all about stargazing with the telescope and toasting marshmallows by the firepit. An ideal base for exploring both Hexham and the surrounding Tynedale Valley famous for its Roman history including Hadrian's Wall and Vindolanda, or visit Kielder Forest with its world renowned dark skies and observatory. You will have your own private outdoor area with seating, fire pit and BBQ. Private off road parking provided. Pets are welcome.

Grange Cottage

The Grange is a very large cottage which can now sleep up to 11 people in four bedrooms. Over the last few months, we have done a lot of work to upgrade this cottage. We have replaced the main bathroom, and fitted a new kitchen (now with a dishwasher !!) Originally, this was 2 cottages, and we have now repurposed the second living room to be another double bedroom. If you have a large group of people, there is another table and more chairs in the cottage.
