Sæból remote farm, Westfjords

Sæból is a historic farm in one of the most remote parts of Iceland. Visitors will find a truly authentic experience of life in the Westfjords, past and present. It provides amazing access to the mountains and the sea, and the opportunity to enjoy the remoteness and quiet that make the Westfjords so special. In Sæból lives a friendly sheep farmer known as Bettý (my mother) and she is the last remaining resident of Ingjaldssandur. She also makes beautiful handcrafts that she sells at her house.

And 7 minutes drive to Grundarfjörður town. The cosy cottage is located at Berg horse farm behind the famous mountain Kirkjufell. Very private place. Magnificent natural beauty and birdlife characterize the place. Great place for photographers. Northern lights clearly visible at Berg horse farm.

Setberg - view across Kirkjufell

Setberg is a farm and it is 7 km from Grundarfjörður. Grundarfjörður is conveniently located in the middle of Snæfellsnes and provides easy access to Stykkishólmur, Snæfellsbær and the Snæfellsnes National Park. Kirkjufell mountain is the landmark of Grundarfjörður. This charming cottage has a great view across the sea of Kirkjufell mountain.

Guesthouse Brekka - private little cottage offgrid

A small cozy cottage on the edge of a forest in the Westfjords, more specifically by Þingeyri Dýrafjörður. Here you can relax in unspoiled surroundings and enjoy nature in Brekkudalur.
