There is great history behind the hotel. The Vergulden Eenhoorn was established in 1702 as a city farm and used to be one of very few farmhouses the city of Amsterdam has. Together with the city of Amsterdam the farmhouse was fully renovated to modern standards, while maintaining the historic value and its features. The warm architectural color scheme of this suite, located on the ground floor, is based on the monumental facade of Boutique hotel Margretha.
