York is 20 miles away with countless tourist attractions and less than 10 minutes drive is the pretty market town of Helmsley with lots to explore. There is an abundance of great walks from your doorstep, excellent cycling routes and you will be spoilt for choice with fantastic cafes, pubs and restaurants.

Bedale is the gateway to Wensleydale. There’s so much to do being right in town, much is within walking distance . Enjoy walking to pubs, coffee shops, quirky boutiques and restaurants, all on your doorstep. There is fabulous countryside to explore on foot or by bike. There is golf, swimming, sailing and horse riding nearby. If you'd rather take it easy, there are historic gardens and houses to enjoy as well as relaxing beauty treatments at local salons. Holme View, Masham

Holme View is a terraced cottage on the edge of Masham which was renovated in 2014 and has been redecorated in 2020 and upgraded to align with the new Fire regulations in 2024. It sleeps a maximum 4 people in two bedrooms (1 king size; 1 superking or 2 x singles), is fully equipped for holiday use and rated 4-star by Visit England. It enjoys it's own parking and attached garage, and looks over open spaces towards the River Ure at the front and the Black Sheep Brewery to the rear.

Thirsk also prides itself in its racecourse where flat racing can be experienced through the summer.
