The Nook is a beautifully appointed modern and bright two bedroom apartment, full of charm and character which overlooks the village. The apartment shares a Victorian building with its sister apartment, The Loft, and the Village shop. Opposite is the warm and friendly village pub, The Cross Keys, and 200 yards away is the village green with off road parking provided in the car park opposite.

It has it's own entrance with private parking space for one vehicle and private walled and fenced garden. It is situated at the end of a no-through road, totally surrounded by hills with stunning views from every window. Plum Tree, named after plumb tree in the garden. Bedroom 1 - 1 double bedroom, bedroom 2 - 2 single beds and another double bed folds out in the living area. There is a travel cot and a small bed for a small children up to 4 years old. The lodge can accommodate 6 adults plus 2 small children. Ideal getaway with private garden which is child and pet friendly. Private entrance. Only 35 mins from Newcastle, 20 minutes Durham, 15 minutes to Darlington and 7 minutes to Bishop Auckland.

The Garth has many walks straight from the door and family-friendly activities: horse riding, mountain biking, Richmond castle, limestone caves, historic railway and lead mines. The village pub and tearooms are close by (check times). You’ll love our place, with its fantastic panoramic views from all rooms . It is a lovely place to stay for couples, walking groups and families with kids. APRIL-OCTOBER: FULL weeks, FRIDAYs ONLY. Rest of year, shorter breaks any day .

The Mill, Rutter Falls,

Comfortable converted watermill sleeping one or two couples, overlooking a spectacular waterfall, in the tranquil Eden Valley, between Lake District and Yorkshire Dales. The deep pool below the falls is ideal for cold-water swimming. Perfect for a romantic getaway, or watching abundant birds and wildlife, for honeymoons, anniversaries or engagements! You won't find accommodation closer to rushing water than this! No under 12s. Check in Fridays and Mondays only.

Perfect for walking, bird watching, photography and touring the wonderful North East. There is also fishing… riparian rights provide the right to fish (with a licence).
