On the grounds you have a Hot Tub, Barn, Private Gym, Playground, Fire-pit, Hammock, Acres to Roam, Multiple Decks, etc. A quick ~10 minute walk to the Falling Rock Bridge on the Tye River for fishing, kayaking, tubing, or looking for Otters! Nelson lake has a boat ramp and public fishing just 5 miles away.

Crabtree Falls and Humpback Rock for hiking. In Nelson Co., the Blue Ridge Parkway and Skyland Drive began. Nearby is UVa's Rotunda, Monticello, Appomattox, DC, Schuyler (the Waltons). Nelson hosts peach and apple festivals each year. The beautiful foliage to be seen in the fall and winter snowy mountains.

Charming Renovated 1930's Soapstone Workers' Bungalow Relaxing, peaceful getaway in gorgeous Nelson County. Adjacent to a large hay field which leads down to a private branch of the Rucker's Run with excellent fishing. The cottage is at the end of a quiet country lane with few nearby houses. The newly renovated home was initially built to house workers from a soapstone quarry located on the property. During the remodel, we even found rationing coupons from 1945 hidden in the walls!

Crestvue Cottage

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Originally the summer kitchen to the 1904 farmhouse, and surrounded by 111 acres of pasture and woods with almost 2 miles of hiking trails, this detached cottage has been completely renovated and is the perfect place to hang your hat while visiting all of the attractions Nelson County has to offer. 5 minutes from Oak Ridge Estate, less than 10 minutes from wineries and breweries and less than 30 minutes from Wintergreen.

Tye River Farm Blue Ridge - Longer Stay Specials

Our home is set in the Virginia countryside, surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains, yet just a short drive from Wintergreen Resort and the scenic Brew Ridge Parkway. With direct access to the Tye River, guests can enjoy kayaking, and tubing, weather and river conditions permitting. Special rates are, available for extended stays. The Vixen House

This cozy and comfortable home is located within the charming Town of Amherst in a quiet neighborhood very close to Sweet Briar College. It is only a short drive from Lynchburg yet is also convenient to other area attractions, such as the Blue Ridge Parkway, Appalachian Trail, Mt. Pleasant Scenic Area, Wintergreen Resort, and an assortment of local restaurants, wineries, and breweries, including the Rt. 151 "Brew Ridge Trail."
