The Bonzo Room at Howling Dog Farm B&B

Relax in the peaceful Alaskan atmosphere of this unique historical homestead of the late Earl and Natalie Norris's famous Alaskan Kennels. This charming old wooden five bedroom house offers three lovely rooms for the comfort of our guests. The Bonzo Room is a large cheery room with south facing windows overlooking the homestead’s old farm fields. The room sleeps up to 3 people, with a King Size bed and a Daybed. In the morning, enjoy a scrumptious hearty country breakfast in first class style.

The room is a spacious room, at 1,000 square feet. There is a king size bed on the main level of the room. There is also a large private bath with a double sink, large over sized jetted tub, and a separate shower stall. The main entrance to the room is located off the living room on the main level. Guests are served a full hot breakfast each morning of their stay, which is offered between 7:30 AM-9:00 AM. If departing earlier a to-go style breakfast is offered with advanced notification.

River Room with a Variety of Fun Amenities

Simple and clean space for calmness and clarity. Queen bed with memory foam comfort and down duvet to slip away into a deep sleep. Private entrance to a shared bathroom when there are guests in the adjacent room (Jack & Jill style). Great kitchen and food for making your own breakfast on your own schedule. A seven-person hot tub which is always on for relaxing in the midnight sun or cold winter nights. A lovely home to enjoy alone time, kindred spirits, or the gifts of Mother Nature.

Ski Inn - The Inlet View Room

The Inlet View Room is located on the second floor at Ski Inn in the center of Girdwood town square. The room features a standard bed, plush carpet, great mountain views, mini fridge, and private bathroom with shower. Enjoy the open common area of The Inn, relax outside amidst stunning mountain views, or enjoy a locally roasted coffee near the flower garden. Restaurants, grocery, coffee shops and local entertainment are just steps away. The local shuttle stop is right out front.

Here's where I give you a bit of Alaska backstory by decorating in 1950's & 60's military cold-war motif . Shared bath too all on main level. Easy access to my dining room and kitchen area for those early mornings when you're off and running. Room looks out over backyard garden. $89 single, $99 for second guest. Continental breakfast available off-season, hot meals on request.

The Arctic Blue Room offers a comfy nights sleep for up to two people featuring Alaskan art with the cool blues of the North country. In the morning, enjoy a scrumptious hearty country breakfast in first class style.  

Alaska Room sleeps 5

Perfect for family or larger groups sleeping up to 5. Sorry no pets in the home. Add the Rancher room, sharing the full bath between rooms for 7 guests. This room does not have its own private outside entrance but is accessed through front door on ground floor, then up 16 stairs. Guests can expect a farm with farm animals, dirt, and garden workers in varying sizes of grandchildren. Piano students also a possibility in winter stays.

Windflower B and B Sundown Suite

The upper floor which is entirely for your use only and not for any of the other guests, consists of three rooms (bath, bed, sitting), a king size bed as well as twin size and pull-out beds for extra guests in the sitting room. A private entrance for guests only, stunning mountain views and breakfast (cont. style) are also included as well as a kitchen and dining area. This is countryside tranquility and privacy but close to town.

Van Zyle Room in House at Happy Trails

Visit the "real" Alaska, off the tourist path, out in the country with access to walking and/or bike gravel trails. Take a five minute walk to experience the tranquility of our little "private" lake where you can row, row a boat around. Our House is perfect for the independent traveler. This room is decorated with artwork by legendary Alaskan artist, Jon Van Zyle, whose paintings capture unique Alaskan experiences.
