The Adventure House

The Adventure House was named by a family of houseguests with 3 fun and lively children who filled their time here with adventures at Acadia National Park and beyond! We are 10 minutes from the quiet side of the park and just under an hour to the busy side, both filled with scenic beauty! We have an added amenity for families traveling with extra family or friends. We're now offering a beautiful camper that comfortably sleeps 6 on the property available only for an extra charge after booking.

Relax with your family at our peaceful home just a few short steps from the beach, pond, and hiking trails of Roque Bluffs State Park. Hummingbird Hollow, aka Schoppee House, is a lovingly updated two bedroom cottage nestled between the ocean and state park land. Enjoy ocean views, salt air, and the sound of waves. A quick walk to the beach or pond, you’re not too far away to run back for lunch or take an afternoon nap. Also, the house is fully heated and is suitable for the cooler months!

Our little piece of paradise is located oceanfront to the Atlantic. The space is a unique one-of-a-kind build, showcasing the natural beauty of West Jonesport. The main level hosts a king size master suite, beautiful chefs' kitchen, and 180-degree views. Enjoy the upper deck while getting lost in a book, grilling dinner or sneaking away to the private outdoor shower space. From the deck, you can access the downstairs where you will find an additional bedroom, bathroom and porch/deck.

Beautifully renovated ocean front cottage with spectacular views of Moosabec Reach from all rooms, in this truly one-of-a-kind home. In addition to the downstairs bedroom, there is a loft bedroom with views of nearby islands. Watch the lobster boats, along with the sailboats. This property is a mere fifteen feet from the shore so you can enjoy the changing tides, an array of shore birds -- eagles, ospreys, and blue herons. Surrounding sea roses infuse the air with their lovely scent.

Spring 2025 ~Visit Acadia Park & Bar Harbor by day & stay here at night. Our 1.4 acre shore-front family retreat began an 18 month renovation Fall of 2018 & only opened recently - Dishwasher, new beds, Hi-speed Internet no data limit. We fell in love with this quiet coastal sanctuary, the perfect place to reconnect with nature while staying on grid. ☪ At night you'll experience deafening silence under the natural light of the stars. High-speed Internet keeps you connected.

The Maine Salt River Cottage

This waterfront eco-friendly log home, located in an Audubon Important Bird Area and NWF Certified Wildlife Habitat, comfortably accommodates 6 guests. Perched on a bluff overlooking two of Maine's beautiful tidal rivers, it’s home to bald eagles, osprey, and harbor seals and boasts a dazzling night sky and dynamic water views. Salt River Cottage is a proud signatory of the Glasgow Declaration on Climate Action in Tourism.

Bella Vista is a cozy, 2 bedroom house with views of Englishman's Bay and Roque Island. The house is set just a few feet away from the soft white sand of Sandy River Beach. You will enjoy magnificent ocean views and comfy accommodations. Stroll the ½ mile sandy beach collecting sea glass and other treasures washed in by the waves. At low tide, hike across the sand bar to explore a nearby island.

Downeast Rosehip Tree Farmhouse - Waterfront

A lovely secluded NE clapboard farmhouse nestled on 60 acres with 75 yards of private beach. The 80 year old house has aged gracefully amongst the firs and rosehips. The 2 story, 3,000 sqft home sleeps 10-12. Modern amenities have been added without diminishing the character of the home.
