This apartment is situated within the main building of the Tower but benefits from its own private entrance and is completely self-contained. Tuck away next to the Wivenhoe woods (upper Wivenhoe), this lovely self-contained studio flat provides comfortable accommodation throughout. The studio is on a cul-de-sac, with its own entrance. It is just a short walk to the University of Essex via Wivenhoe Public pathway. The the train station is also only 15 minute walk away through the Wivenhoe trail. Ideal for 1-2 guests, but a baby or small chid is welcome (providing that you bring your own travel cot & bedding with you).

Riverside gem with a nautical past

In the heart of lower Wivenhoe on the quay, our little self-contained cottage was once part of the home of The Colne Marine and Yacht Company. Its thick brick walls and quiet and pretty disposition, defy its former role as a working yard where timber yachts were crafted and repaired, drawn up inside at high tide. Emma and Charlie welcome guests back time after time to relax and enjoy this very special place. We hope you will join them.

The Retreat, is a lovely self contained holiday let, it’s on our property but completely separate, so all completely private for our guests. It has its own fully equipped kitchen, lounge, bathroom, and bedroom, with double or single beds, which ever suits your needs best. As it’s a garage conversion, head space is limited for taller people, upstairs when walking through from bedroom to bathroom Pets- only 1 small pet allowed
