Cafe and reliable upscale but informal Mexican restaurant with the best view of the Aztec ruins downtown. Personally I enjoy this more than viewing the ruins up close.

The terrace on top of the Porrúa Bookstore is what you'd be looking for for a really good view of the Arqueological site. Located behind the Cathedral at República de Argentina 15 (metro station Zocalo-Blue line).
