A beautiful space on the top floors of the skyscraper at 20 Fenchurch Street, with tropical-looking gardens that are free to visit—but you must book ahead. It has the biggest amount of plants and the walls are all glass with a 360-degree view of the city. It’s a really special and inspiring place to explore and look out over east London and beyond. There are two restaurants and two bars up there. Fenchurch Restaurant, housed in a glass box within the glassed building, is great and really accommodating for veggies and vegans, with a special vegetarian menu, great wines, and great service. I’ve never heard music there though a live show would be great.
Have breakfast/lunch/drinks at the Skygarden - a garden high above the City.

Perfect place to relax and unwind. This is London's highest rooftop garden with spectacular views. You also get to see the shard! Free tickets are required for admission - available online. Free entry without a ticket from 6pm Monday to Saturday.
Enjoy breathtaking view over London surrounded by variety of plants. You can also refresh yourselves in one of the bars or in the restaurant, however check the availability first. The slots for a free visit are often booked out.
The best place from where to admire the Great City of London. Visiting it is for free!
Great sunset or sunrise spot! you can get in for free without booking between 7-10am and after 6pm during the week!
Excellent views from the top of this building and free entry, though you need to book in advance. Also has a few restaurants at the top - recommend Fenchurch Terrace. Better view than the Shard as it’s not so high up.

“Afternoon Tea at Claridge’s Hotel, observing our nation’s culinary heritage for the best part of 150 years. For a century or more, our Executive Chefs have remained faithful to the classic combination of finger sandwiches, scones served warm, and sweet pastries. Our ingredients are painstakingly sourced, skilfully prepared and served fresh each day. The centrepiece of afternoon tea is, of course, the drink itself. Our wonderful tea connoisseur, Henrietta Lovell, has scoured the world to bring us delicious tea from small, little known producers from the four corners of the world. Working hand in hand with our Executive Chef, Martyn Nail.”

“London's oldest food market, the vibrant Borough Market has been around for over a thousand years. Not only is it UK's best-known — it's one of the most famous food markets in the world. Best times to visit If you’re not taking a guided tour or attending an event, avoid peak times. There's a limited market (which means not all stalls are open) on Mondays and Tuesdays, and a full market between Wednesday to Saturday. Get there as early as you can to beat the crowds. The best time to visit is between 10am to midday Wednesday to Friday; and 8am to midday on Saturday. Yes, Saturdays are the liveliest, but also the most crowded. Alternatively, go at around 4pm. The crowds will have thinned out by then, and many stallholders will give you their unsold products (especially perishable fruit and veg, baked goods and cooked dishes) at a heavily discounted price.”

“Duck under the arches behind Maltby Street and you'll arrive at Druid Street, a much more rough-and-ready street-food market. On this stretch, signs are few and far between so it helps to follow your nose. Pojang serves up authentic Korean street-food, Decatur has the best oyster po boys and Rock My Bowl's smoothie bowls manage to make breakfast genuinely exciting. The revolving weekly stalls mean you'll find new vendors every time. On our last visit we discovered Jake's Soul Spread selling incredible jams on their Druid Street debut. The treacle-thick salted butter with honey even comes with a soul and funk breakfast soundtrack.”
